Your Success Stories
Did your theater have a successful run? Let us know how you succeeded.

Successful promotion of films in theaters throughout the world takes experience, creativity, and an eye for the potential market. That's why Destination Cinema, Inc. works closely with individual theater managers to find innovative ways to promote films at each venue. Here are some of our many success stories:

SPEYER, GERMANY
Camels aren't something you see every day in Speyer, Germany. But Michael Einkorn, Theater Manager, was looking for a fun and attention-getting way to open "Mysteries of Egypt," and this seemed most appropriate. Einkorn's plan was to bring the people of Speyer as close to Egypt as possible, without actually going there. So, he secured three camels that visitors could ride for the opening day of the film. To help further jump-start the events, Einkorn hopped on a camel himself and rode it into the theater lobby which the staff had turned into a "mini-Egypt," complete with replicas of ancient columns and hieroglyphs. The audience response was "fantastic!"

JERSEY CITY'S LIBERTY SCIENCE CENTER
The parking lot of the Jersey City's Liberty Science Center became the world's most artistic sandbox to celebrate the launch of "Mysteries of Egypt." More than 250 tons of sand was delivered, and after digging in, sand sculptor Mark Mason and his internationally known sand-sculpting crew transformed truckloads of sand into authentic-looking replicas of the Sphinx, the great pyramid of Khufu, statues from the site at Luxor and other monuments featured in the film. The sand-sculpting event served as a highlight in a week of festivities and a three-dimensional canvas for previewing Egypt's ancient treasures. More than 700 people attended the premiere screening. Press coverage in and around New York contributed to sell-out crowds and a successful launch of the film.
