For Educators

"Mysteries of Egypt" transports audiences to a distant time and place where an ancient civilization once flourished. Through historical reenactments and enchanting cinematography, "Mysteries of Egypt" explores one of civilization's most amazing empires that began some 5,000 years ago and continues to intrigue the world today. Breathtaking views of the pyramids and intimate explorations of the tombs and treasures are truly captivating on the large-format screen.

It is the story of tombs and treasures, the largest river on Earth, the Nile, the deathly quiet Valley of Kings and the ever-fascinating pyramids and their chambers, including King Tutankhamun's tomb. Egypt's unsolved mysteries, massive architecture feats, and the intrigue of its infamous rulers capture the imagination of audiences of every age. This giant screen production introduces viewers to the history, geography, architecture, and unique culture of this incredible civilization. The film also explores the concepts of language -- the Egyptians introduced, hieroglyphics, the first written language -- art, mathematics, archaeology, geology, and many other amazing accomplishments of the ancient empire.
